The author of this blog, Chad Gesser, is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the Owensboro Community and Technical College. He currently teaches Introduction to Sociology, Modern Social Problems, Inequality in Society, and Sociology of the Community. In the past he's also taught courses in Minority Relations, Criminology, and Social Development.

He uses this blog for a variety of purposes: to "save material" he culls from the internet to use with his students, classes, and colleagues; to post information for interested parties, including tutorials regarding tools he uses and presentations he makes and presents; and he also provides original posts regarding ideas or projects he's working on.
